General Directions
Take WV exit #23 (Rt. 26/Bruceton Mills) off of I-68. Go South on Rt. 26 for approximately 12 miles to the town of Albright. As you see the Exxon station on your right look for Cheat River Outfitters on the left. Make the sharp left turn up our gravel driveway to the octagon log building up on the hill.
From Canaan Valley area (Thomas. Davis. Timberline. ect. . )
Drive time approximately 1- 1 ½ hours
Take Rt. 32 North to Rt. 219 North. Continue on 219 to Oakland, MD. 219 turns left in Oakland (at the Burger King). In approximately 1 mile 219 turns right- don t turn just remain going straight at the light on Rt. 39. Rt 39 turns into Rt. 7 as it enters WV. Continue on Rt 7 through the town of Terra AIta. The road will become twisty and heads down the mountain (please don't ride your brakes). As you come to the bottom of the mountain you will see the Cheat River and a large bridge as the road straightens out. You want to turn right onto St. joes Rd. just BEFORE the bridge. Continue on this road to the town of Albright. Turn right at the stop sign. Look for Cheat River Outfitters on your right as you pass the Exxon station. We are in a large log building up on the hill.
From Central Ohio
Drive time approximately 3 ½ ~ -4 hrs.
Take 1-70 East into West Virginia and then to Washington, PA. In Washington take 1-79 South to Morgantown, WV. In Morgan town take 1-68 East to exit #23 (Route 26 at Bruceton Mills), Turn right (South). Follow Rt 26 for approximately 12 miles to the town of Albright. When you see the Exxon station on your right look for Cheat River Outfitters on your left. Follow the gravel driveway up the hill to the big log building.
From Pittsburgh
Drive time 2 ½ hrs.
Take 1-79 South to Morgantown. In Morgantown take 1-68 East to exit # 23 (Route 26 at Bruce ton Mills), Turn right (South). Follow Rt 26 for approximately 12 miles to the town of Albright. When you see the Exxon station on your right look for Cheat River Outfitters on your left. Follow the gravel driveway up the hill to the big log building.
From Alpine Lake Resort. Terra Alta. WV
Drive time approximately 30 mm.
Follow Alpine Lake Rd. (straight past guard shack) to Rt. 7. Turn right onto Rt. 7 and continue through Terra Alta. The road will become twisty and heads down the mountain (please don't ride your brakes). From the Greater D.C. / Baltimore area
Take 1-270 North to I-70 West towards Fredrick, MD. Continue on 1-70W to 1-68 West towards Cumberland, MD. Continue on 1-68 into West Virginia and get off at exit #23 (Rt. 26 at Bruceton Mills). Turn Left which will be heading South. Continue on Rt. 26 for approximately 12 miles to the town of Albright. As you see the Exxon station on your right begin to look for Cheat River Outfitters on your left. We are in a large log building up on the hill.
From Morgantown. WV area
Take 1-68 East towards Cumberland MD. Get off at Exit #23 (Route 26 at Bruce ton Mills), Turn right (South). Follow Rt 26 for approximately 12 miles to the town of Albright. When you see the Exxon station on your right look for Cheat River Outfitters on your left. Follow the gravel driveway up the hill to the big log building.
From Deep Creek Lake area
Take 219 to Rt. 42 North to 1-68 West towards Morgan town, WV. Continue on 1-68 into West Virginia and get off at exit #23 (Rt. 26 at Bruce ton Mills). Turn Left which will be heading South. Continue on Rt. 26 for approximately 12 miles to the town of Albright. As you see the Exxon station on your right begin to look for Cheat River Outfitters on your left. We are in a large log building up on the hill.
